The Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur OBE, has congratulated six Leicestershire companies after they were granted the King’s Award for Enterprise.

One of the companies, Coalville-based Zeeko Ltd, has the distinction of winning in both the Innovation and International Trade categories – one of only five double winners across the whole of the UK.

New line.

The other Leicestershire winners are:

  • CMS Cepcor (Coalville) – International Trade
  • Devol Kitchens (Loughborough) – International Trade
  • Horiba MIRA (Hinckley) – Sustainable Development
  • NMS International Group (Market Harborough) – International Trade
  • Winbro Group Technologies (Shepshed) – Innovation

Leicestershire is home to some amazing businesses, large and small, across a broad range of industries. I am, therefore, delighted to see this local success recognised by His Majesty through the grant of no fewer than seven King's Award for Enterprise to Leicestershire-based companies.

The King's Award for Enterprise are the most pre-eminent business awards in the UK, if not the world, and these companies join a very select group of entities that have the honour of holding an Award.

Winning a King's Award for Enterprise requires the applicant to prove to an independent and distinguished panel of judges that they have exceeded a very high bar of achievement and I congratulate Leicestershire's class of 2024 on the hard work, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit they have all shown. I look forward to presenting each of them with their Awards in the coming months

Mike Kapur OBE, Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire
